Siding, Soffit & Fascia

How we do fascia
We don't wrap aluminum over rot
Aluminum wrap over rotten wood hides the problem instead of fixing it. The rot keeps going underneath, and the first sign you get is the gutter pulling off the house.
We replace the rotten board with new wood, then run PVC trim over it. The wood carries the gutter; the PVC takes the weather and never rots.
It is more work and two line items instead of one. It is also the difference between a repair that lasts and one that comes back.
Exterior work we handle
Siding replacement
Full elevations or the one wall the weather found. We pull the old material back, look at what is behind it, and tell you what we find before we cover it up again.
Soffit and ventilation
Soffit runs replaced and kept vented. Blocking the soffit vents to make a repair look tidy is how attics cook shingles from underneath.
Fascia rebuilt properly
Rotten fascia comes off and gets replaced with new wood, then PVC trim over the top. We do not wrap aluminum over rot to hide it.
Exterior trim and columns
Corner boards, window and door trim, porch columns and posts — the carpentry that makes a siding job look finished rather than patched.
Gutter coordination
Gutter has to come off to do fascia right. We own our gutter machine, so it comes down and goes back up on our own schedule instead of waiting on a sub.
Storm and insurance damage
Wind and hail damage to siding documented for your claim, then repaired or replaced once the scope is settled.
Common questions
Do I have to replace all the siding, or can you do one side?
One elevation is completely normal, especially after a storm. The honest caveat is colour: siding that has been on a house for years has faded, and new material will not match perfectly. On a visible front elevation we will talk through whether matching matters enough to do more.
What is behind my siding, and will you tell me if it is bad?
Sheathing, house wrap, sometimes rot or old water damage nobody knew about. We photograph what we find and show you before we close the wall back up. Any change to scope gets priced and approved before we do the work, not after.
Why do you charge separately for fascia?
Because we actually rebuild it. Rotten fascia gets replaced with new wood and then PVC trim over the top, which is two materials and roughly double the labour of wrapping it in aluminium. Wrapping is faster and cheaper and leaves the rot in place.
Can you do the gutters at the same time?
Yes, and it is usually the right sequence. Gutter has to come off to replace fascia. We own our gutter machine, so new seamless gutter goes straight back up when the trim is done rather than waiting on another contractor.
Do you work with insurance on siding claims?
Yes. We document wind and hail damage the way an adjuster needs to see it, and we are used to working a scope through to an agreed number before the work starts.
